The Embassy of Pakistan in Belgrade observed Kashmir Black Day with a solemn gathering to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The event was attended by members of the Pakistan–Serbia Friendship Association, representatives of the Pakistani community, and other distinguished guests.
Ambassador Faraz Zaidi read out the message of the President of Pakistan, which underscored the grave human rights violations being committed by the Indian occupation forces and paid tribute to the resilience and courage of the Kashmiri people in their continued struggle for self-determination. The Ambassador reiterated that Pakistan would remain steadfast in extending moral, political, and diplomatic support to its Kashmiri brothers and sisters until they realize their inalienable right to self-determination.
The message of the Prime Minister of Pakistan was also read out, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the just cause of the Kashmiri people. The Prime Minister’s message emphasized that Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their quest for justice, peace, and dignity.
A short video documentary was screened during the event, depicting the historical context of Kashmir Black Day and highlighting the ongoing plight of the people of IIOJK under the continuing occupation. The documentary resonated deeply with the audience through its powerful portrayal of the Kashmiri people's resilience, courage, and hope in the face of prolonged oppression.
